Spectacular image from our All Sky camera

On May 9th 2024, our all-sky camera captured an extraordinary phenomenon in the municipality of Putscheid: an aurora borealis. ✨ Colourful lights could be seen in the night sky. ☺️

This phenomenon is due to the interaction between solar particles and gas molecules in the Earth's atmosphere.
